“Ideal Camera”: Canon D10 Is A 12.1 Mega-Pixel, 3X Optical Zoom Rugged Digicam That Can Withstand 33 Feet Of Water And Drops

FOUR PACKS WILL CONTINUE TO SHAMELESSLY PROMOTE PRODUCTS THAT ADD TO AN “IDEAL LIFE”…AND THIS CAMERA HAS IT ALL FOR OGGIES…..

The camera gurus at Canon just unleashed a bevy of new shooters, including their first-ever rugged digicam. Dubbed the D10, it can:

Withstand water (up to 33 feet),

Cold (down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit)

Drops (of four feet or fewer)

It also includes some solid specs, like a 12.1-megapixel sensor and 3x optical zoom.

Not bad, and sort of handsome, in an angular, beat-up kind of way. (Like the Mickey Rourke of cameras, we guess.)

There’s also the SX200, which offers a superzoom (12x) and a wide-angle (28mm-equivalent) lens, and even takes 720p movies. (We also dig the no-fuss form factor.)

Look for them later this spring—the SX200 in March, and the D10 drops in May.

$330 for the D10, $350 for the SX200;

  1. New way and new camera

  2. I’ve looked up to Canon for a long while. A number of years ago I think that as a company it has gone off the boil. For a while their eye for particularly camcorder quality was not what it was and IME, the standard of Canon’s camcorder manufacture went downhill. HAVING SAID THAT, today I think they are the best even though they aren’t the cheapest camcorders.
