Michael Phelps Diet: Very Little Processed Foods or Artificial Flavor Enhancement

MICHAEL PHELPS DIET IS GETTING A LOT OF PRESS AND NO DOUBT MANY WHO READ OR HEAR ABOUT IT ARE EQUATING WHAT HE EATS TO WHAT THEY EAT AND FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE AS CONCERNED ABOUT CALORIES…..WRONG. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CALORIES FOR 40 YEAR PLUS OGGIES AS OUR METABOLISM SLOWS DOWN…MICHAEL IS A WORLD CLASS ATHLETE AT THE PEAK OF HIS CAREER BURNING THOUSANDS OF CALORIES…BUT READ BELOW AND ONE THING THAT I NOTICE AMONGST THE FUEL CONSUMPTION IS A LOW LEVEL OF ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED FOODS….

TYPICAL TRAINING DAY FOOD

Breakfast…Fried egg sandwiches…five egg omelets (at least a dozen eggs everyday)…French toast and chocolate chip pancakes–piling on more calories.

For lunch–Big ham and cheese sandwiches with lots of mayonnaise… chased down with a thousand calories of energy drinks….

Dinner–A pound of pasta and and an entire pizza..

MSG, ALTHOUGH MEDICALLY DECLARED SAFE, IS BEING FOUND TO ENHANCE PEOPLES WEIGHT AS WELL AS THE FOOD’S FLAVOR…

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill researchers studied 750 men and women in rural China. Most did not use any commercially prepared foods, and 82 percent put MSG in, researchers said. 

The one-third who used the most MSG were three times more likely to be overweight than those who didn’t use it.”
